DriveCosts ("we", "us", or "our") operates drive-costs.com. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it. The short version: our calculators run entirely in your browser, and we do not collect or store the values you enter.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect personal information through our calculators. Distance, MPG, gas prices, vehicle data and any other inputs you type stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which calculators are most useful and to identify pages with errors. Any analytics we use are configured to respect Do Not Track signals and to not collect personally identifiable information.

Cookies

DriveCosts does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We may use a single functional cookie to remember UI preferences (such as light/dark mode) on your device.

Third-party links

Some pages link to external resources such as the EPA fuel economy website or AAA gas price tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Children's privacy

DriveCosts is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
